– Mauro Ranallo welcomed us to Full Sail Universeity in WInter Park, FL joined by Nigel McGuinness and Percy Watson at the commentary booth as usual.

IN-RING: SHAYNA BASZLER

The NXT Women’s Champion Shayna Baszler made her way to the ring and actually got a pretty loud “Queen of Spades” chant. She reminded everyone of what she did to Dakota Kai last week, and the war path she’s been on since arriving in NXT. Shayna said the entire locker room is scared of her, but “there’s always gotta be one” that thinks the rules don’t apply, and that one is Nikki Cross.

Right on queue Nikki’s music hit and the insane former Sanity member stomped to the ring with a wild look on her face. Shayna told her if she ever posts a stunt like that again it would be the last thing she ever did, and reminded her who the real women’s champion is. During her whole promo Nikki had a blank look on her face and Baszler called her crazy, warning her that she could put her to sleep “in a heartbeat”, before chucking the microphone across the ring at her. Cross picked up the mic and just said “DO IT!”, begging the champion to come at her.

The two stared each other down until Shayna made the mistake of shoving Cross, who went right after her with wild rights and lefts. The champ tried to escape but got dragged back into the ring as Nikki put the boots to her in the corner. Baszler managed to fight back and delivered a few blows that rocked the challenger, but Cross nailed her with an elbow that split her lip open, literally drawing first blood in this feud. The champ scurried up the entrance ramp clutching her title, looking genuinely worried for the first time.

TM61 vs. MIKE & ROBBY THE JOBBERS

Nick Miller started things out with some sick chops to the jobber known as Mike. Thorne tagged in and went to work, raining down elbows and knees to the back of his opponent’s head, to the point where the referee warned him and nearly stopped the match. Robby managed to tag in but ran right into a dropkick straight to the face. TM61 toyed with them for a few minutes before Miller nearly killed one of the kids with a devastating lariat to the back of the head.

– After the match Miller got on the mic and called out the entire NXT tag team division. They said they would destroy War Raiders, Oney and Dany, and even the Undisputed Era if any of them were man enough to get in the ring with them. Thorne declared that all of NXT should bow down and recognize them as “The Mighty”.

– We are shown footage of Lars Sullivan working out at the Performance Center earlier this week, where he just stood in a ring and completely demolished developmental stars one after another as they entered the ring.

RODERICK STRONG vs. DANNY BURCH

A very physical match as they pummeled each other with some elbow strikes, knee strikes and kicks that would put the “strong” in strong-style. They locked up and grappled for position early on, but it very quickly stopped being about a wrestling match and started being about two guys who wanted to kill each other. Burch hit a few stiff suplexes and a huge lariat, looking like he had the match put away, but Adam Cole and Kyle O’Reilly ran down to cause a distraction. WWE UK Champion Pete Dunne and Oney Lorcan ran out to make the save, but the damage had been done and Strong hit his backbeaker to pick up the win.

Winner: Roderick Strong

After the match, Pete Dunne hit the ring and brutally beat down his former tag team partner, but Cole and O’Reilly recovered and left him laying after a 3-on-1 assault. The Undisputed Era ended the segment posing on the ramp with their titles in the air.

– Backstage Kassius Ohno is doing a photo shoot when EC3 interrupts and asks them if they’re trying to “break the camera”. EC3 sarcastically calls him a “tremendous wrestler” but says he’s not the golden goose like he is. Ohno tells him if he keeps talking he’ll be “one percent” away from being “ninety-nine percent unconscious”. The match was officially made for next week’s final show before Takeover.
