As we reported earlier this week, Kevin Owens left the ongoing WWE tour of South America several days earlier for unspecified “personal reasons”. Although we noted it likely had nothing to do with an outbreak of illnesses on the roster, there has understandably been some speculation as to why the self-proclaimed “Face of America” was sent home. 

While we can’t tell you the exact reason why, Owens himself posted an update on Twitter this weekend confirming that he isn’t sick or injured. The former WWE Universal Champion simply stated, “my family needed me home”, before thanking the fans for their understanding. 

I’m not sick. I’m not hurt. My family needed me home. Thank you to @WWE & the fans in Argentina & Chile for their support and understanding.
