WWE SmackDown ratings down slightly against NCAA March Madness

Friday night's episode of WWE SmackDown averaged 2.219 million viewers on Fox, down 1.7 percent from the previous week. It's the lowest audience total for the show since December 16.

The show went head-to-head with multiple NCAA March Madness Sweet 16 games that aired on CBS and TBS.

SmackDown finished fourth on network television with a 0.58 rating in the 18-49 demo, down 1.7 percent from the prior week. Aside from NCAA basketball coverage, SmackDown was the top rated show on all of television.

SmackDown's 18-49 rating is tied for the lowest the show has done since January 20.

As compared to the same week in 2022, SmackDown was up 1.8 percent in overall viewers and up 18.4 percent in the 18-49 demo. It's the ninth straight week the show has been up year-over-year in both categories.

Listed below are the last 11 weeks of overall viewership and 18-49 demo ratings for SmackDown, as well as the 10-week averages in both categories. This week's episode was down 6.8 percent in overall viewers and down 3.3 percent in 18-49 as compared to the recent averages.
