— A video package opens the night looking back on Tommaso Ciampa’s NXT Championship victory two weeks ago, and the revenge block that Aleister Black delivered to Johnny Gargano last Wednesday night.

NIKKI CROSS def. AMBER NOVA

— Still to come: EC3 and Velveteen Dream meet before their match at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.

— Ricochet came out but was attacked on the entrance ramp by all three of the champions from The Undisputed Era. Adam Cole screamed that he wasn’t a coward, and Ricochet will leave Brooklyn broken and mangled.

— Vanessa Borne is interviewed backstage as she will face Taynara Conti for the last open spot in the Mae Young Classic.

KASSIUS OHNO def. ADRIAN JAUODE 

— Velveteen Dream is hanging out by a pool when EC3 shows up and is offered a seat. The two take a walk around the pool talking about their match at Takeover. EC3 says it’ll be the “Purple Rainmaker” and the “Golden God”, “The One” and the “Top One Percent”. Dream feels disrespected and takes a shot at him, but misses and ends up in the pool.

— Johnny Gargano is in the building.

— Next Week: Kairi Sane faces Aliyah, and UK sensation Tyler Bate faces Roderick Strong.

— Johnny Gargano and Aleister Black fought to a co-contest when Tommaso Ciampa came out and attacked both guys. Ciampa sent Black into the steel steps and destroyed him on the outside until Gargano flew off the apron, running through him with a cannonball.

— William Regal came out with security who got in between the three men. The NXT GM says things have gotten completely out of control, but he’s had enough trying to restrain them, and will no longer get in the way of them trying to destroy each other. He announces a triple threat match for the title at NXT Takeover: Brooklyn.
