BUDDY MURPHY (c) vs. AKIRA TOZAWA

Murphy starts the match by imposing his power and wrenching on the arm of Tozawa. Tozawa slips through and gets a wrist lock on Murphy, but Murphy easily slips out. Tozawa counters with a couple of chops, but it has very little effect on the champion. Tozawa slides to the outside and Murphy follows and goes for a wild swing himself, but his hand goes flying into the ringpost.

Tozawa comes back in and dives out to Buddy Murphy, but Murphy catches Akira Tozawa in mid air and delivers a sick vertical suplex onto the outside. Back in the ring, Murphy starts to strike at Tozawa, but Tozawa jumps at Murphy and spins around, trapping Murphy into a Black Widow. Murphy powers out and turns it into an abdominal stretch to Tozawa, but Tozawa flips Murphy to the outside!

Murphy comes running back in but is met with a super kick right on the button, buckling the Cruiserweight champion at the knees. Tozawa comes running, but Murphy sends him up and over. Tozawa hits Murphy with an Enziguri! Murphy gets up in the corner and Tozawa crushes Murphy with a bicycle pump kick, and then follows it up with a ridiculous shining wizard! Tozawa goes for the pin but Murphy kicks out at two!

Tozawa puts Murphy on the top rope, but Murphy fights out and holds Tozawa up in the air, looking to powerbomb Tozawa. Tozawa turns that into a snap hurricanrana, sending Murphy flying! Tozawa goes for the cover, but Murphy ONCE AGAIN kicks out at 2! Both men are back up and Tozawa runs at Murphy, who lifts him up and delivers a brain buster on the challenger!

Murphy starts to talk trash and toy with Tozawa, but Tozawa starts to counter with a series of strikes. Murphy tries to come with a series of his own, but Tozawa FLOORS the champ with a big back fist. Tozawa catches Murphy with a HUGE deadlift suplex with the bridge, 1…….2……Murphy kicks out AGAIN!

Tozawa starts to climb to the top rope, but Murphy in an act of desperation grabs the leg of Tozawa. Tozawa shakes him off and kicks Murphy in the face. Tozawa jumps backwards perfectly and hits Murphy with a spike hurricanrana on the head of Murphy. Tozawa puts Murphy hanging from the second rope and hits a senton from the top rope, but Murphy kicks out once again!

Tozawa bounces off the ropes, but Murphy counters with a flying knee out of nowhere! Murphy goes for Murphy’s Law, but Tozawa turns it into a cover, but Murphy breaks free. Tozawa locks in an Octopus hold, but Murphy powers his way to his feet and turns it into Murphy’s Law to retain his championship!
