After spells with formative club Lorient and a two-year stay at Marseille, Lemina had made the move across to the other side of the Alps to sign with Juventus, where he won two Serie A titles. He then left the Bianconeri for Southampton, and also turned out for Galatasaray and Fulham in loan deals.
Reports from Saber Desfarges back in December indicated that the Premier League relegation battlers had seen their opening offer of €5m rejected, and were due to come back with an improved bid.
