As previously reported, SmackDown General Manager Paige announced during last night’s show that SmackDown Women’s Champion Carmella will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Title against Asuka at the upcoming WWE Money MITB PPV Event.
In other MITB news from last night’s episode of SmackDown, The New Day defeated The Bar and will now get the opportunity to select one of their members to enter the Men’s MITB Ladder Match. Also, Becky Lynch defeated Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville in a Triple Threat Women’s MITB Qualifying Match to advance to the Women’s MITB Ladder Match for next month’s MITB PPV Event. Also, next week’s episode of SmackDown Live will feature Big Cass vs. Samoa Joe and Billie Kay vs. Lana to fill two more spots.
The MITB PPV Event takes place on June 17th from the Allstate Arena in Chicago, IL. Below is the updated card coming out of last night’s episode of SmackDown from London:
