Undertaker Shocks AJ Styles To Win Tuwaiq Trophy At WWE Super Showdown
The Demon from Death Valley made a stop in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia this Thursday to make his presence felt at WWE Super Showdown.
The Undertaker appeared as a surprise replacement for Rey Mysterio in the first ever Tuwaiq Trophy Gauntlet Match, coming face-to-face with AJ Styles – actually winning the bout and its massive trophy, believe it or not.
Reports circulated all week long that the Deadman had been spotted in Saudi Arabia, to the point where WWE itself confirmed that he had made the long trip.
The gauntlet actually started with Smackdown’s R-Truth defeating Bobby Lashley, United States Champion Andrade and the monstrous Erick Rowan (via DQ) in a miraculously lucky run. He was then defeated with relative ease by the Phenomenal One.
Styles had clearly planned things out, as his final opponent, Rey Mysterio, was then attacked mercilessly by the other members of The O.C. backstage, before he could make his way to the ring. It was announced that if his opponent could not answer a 10-count, Styles would be declared the winner by forfeit.
Enter the Undertaker.
It has been rumored for quite some time, and even reported that the Phenom might be scheduled to face AJ Styles in a singles match at this year’s WrestleMania 36 pay-per-view in Tampa.
