UFC star\u2019s stepdaughter fought back against her accused killer: court docs

Aniah Blanchard, the stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight Walt Harris, “went for the gun” of her alleged kidnapper before he killed her, court documents say.

After the 19-year-old college student went missing, an individual told authorities Ibraheem Yazeed was at a home in Montgomery, Alabama, with Blanchard’s car, according to a criminal complaint filed Wednesday.

The person, who was not named in the complaint, told cops “Yazeed admitted to shooting a girl, and stated the girl ‘went for the gun,’” the filing states.

Yazeed, 29, is facing capital murder charges in the death of Blanchard, whose body was found Nov. 25, more than a month after she disappeared from a gas station in Auburn.

In court Wednesday, Yazeed went off, telling the judge: “I got rights, too,” Fox10-TV reported.

“Y’all have no video, no audio of me shooting anyone, that’s why I’m trying to see how y’all going to bind me over on hearsay, but y’all aren’t presenting no evidence,” he said.

Police originally charged Yazeed with kidnapping after Blanchard’s abandoned black Honda CRV was found in Montgomery with her own blood inside.

Charges against Yazeed, who is being held in Lee County Jail in Alabama without bond, were upgraded from first-degree kidnapping to capital murder this week.

Prosecutors said they will be seeking the death penalty.
