Fans who aren’t able to attend the MSHSL Section 1 Team Tournament in Rochester on February 14th will have the opportunity to watch from a distance.

This unique event will feature all three Section 1 Team Tournament semifinals and finals duals. Four teams in each class (Class A, AA, and AAA) will be competing, with a trip to the State Tournament on the line.

All nine duals will be live streamed from Rochester on Prep45.com using Trackwrestling’s new Trackcast technology. “Fans can expect a professional looking broadcast with graphical overlays which includes the information they desire to make the entire experience very engaging,” said Trackwrestling’s CEO Justin Tritz. “It’s a great opportunity to introduce Trackcast in the state of Minnesota and showcase the video tools available to event directors to start streaming their own events.” Trackcast was unveiled in early December of last year and has been used to stream many tournaments, including the Midlands Championships college tournament.

“I hope and believe this will go very smoothly,” said Tournament Director Mark Kuisle. “The track record with Trackwrestling has been outstanding and we are being assured that this will be a great addition to our tournament series. This concept and implementation will be a game changer for the sport of wrestling in Minnesota. I believe we are on the verge of something very special for the athletes, coaches and fans. I am excited about the opportunity to be the first section tournament to launch this product and see first-hand how it will work.”

Top Class A Section 1 teams include #2 Kenyon-Wanamingo, #6 Zumbrota-Mazeppa, #8 Chatfield, and Lean and Mean Dover-Eyota. Class AA features #2 Kasson-Mantorville, #3 Albert Lea Area, #11 Stewartville, and Lean and Mean teams Caledonia, Plainview-Elgin-Millville, and GMLOKS. Ranked teams in Class AAA include #7 Hastings, #8 Farmington, and Lean and Mean Owatonna.
