Sasha Banks Update, Angle Wanted to Face Cena, The Club Reunion?
Raw Superstar Sasha Banks was set to appear on “The Wendy Williams Show” yesterday, but she cancelled her interview. Banks later said that she cancelled the appearance due to personal reasons, and some outlets even claimed that Williams was upset with the last-minute cancellation. What exactly is the issues right now with the former Raw Women’s Champion? During her show earlier today, Wendy Williams took the time to comment on the matter. Williams said that Banks had to pull out of her appearance due to a family emergency, but she did not mention what exactly she meant by that. Williams wished Banks and her family luck. It is unclear if Banks will be missing out on any WWE television dates as of right now.
WrestleMania 35 saw WWE Hall of Famer Kurt Angle compete in his last match. As is tradition in pro wrestling, Angle went out with a loss as he put over Baron Corbin during the show. Prior to the match, fans demanded for Angle to have a final opponent more befitting of his legendary status. On his official Instagram account, Angle sent a message to John Cena talking about WrestleMania 35 and also saying that he wishes that he could’ve had one more match against the 16-time world champion. Cena faced Angle in his first match on the main WWE roster years ago, which is why fans thought it would be appropriate for Cena to take him on at WrestleMania. Angle has been celebrated as one of the very best athletes to compete in a ring.
Completely ironic that on the same night, at Wrestlemania35 @johncena paid homage to his “ruthless aggression” thuganomics character, and I wore my “Team Angle” warm up. I wish I had one more round with you John. Regardless, I’m proud of my career. #itstrue #wrestlemania35 #wwe

Next week is the Superstar Shakeup, which means that there will be stars moving from Raw to SmackDown and vice versa very soon. It’s unknown where everyone will end up over the next few days, but it appears that a certain stable could be reuniting as a result of the Shakeup. AJ Styles posted a tweet today teasing a possible reunion of The Club during the Superstar Shakeup. The Club consisted of Styles, Luke Gallows, and Karl Anderson, but the group has been disbanded for a number of years. Styles also teased taking on Finn Balor again in the same tweet. Balor would have to move to SmackDowm or Styles could go to Raw in order for that match to occur, but the results of the will be unveiled on Raw and SmackDowm next week.
