Ric Flair Speaks on Wasted Talent, The Rock, If He Used Steroids, More
Ric Flair was a guest on The Dan Le Batard radio show yesterday. Here are a few highlights from the interview:
When asked if Flair is friends with any wrestlers:
Triple and Shawn Michaels. When a lot of guys walk away from the business, they walk away but sometimes he gets in touch with Dusty Rhodes, Arn Anderson and a few other guys.
Dusty Rhodes, what is he like?
One of the most colorful people you can talk to. Energetic, colorful, great imagination. It’s very rewarding knowing him all these years later. The insanity of the business is that they work everyday of the year.
Did it make you unhealthy, do you have any recurring pain for wrestling?
None.
What guy has the most charisma?
The Rock. He had it and charisma is something you just cant buy.
Are their any wrestlers that you feel wasted their talents?
Yeah, there are a lot of them but I don’t want to name any names. Its like any other sport, you can name football players, basketball players and its sad, but that’s what happens in life.
Were you doing steroids like everyone else in wrestling?
No.
What was your high point in professional wrestling?
There are many high points. Winning the world championship for the second time in 1983, winning the Royal Rumble in 1991 and in 2005 there was a two hour Raw show that was based around Ric Flair.
