Report: Kevin Owens Told WWE Officials He Doesn't Want to Wrestle in Saudi Arabia
— According to a report at Fightful, Kevin Owens has told WWE officials that he isn’t interested in going back to Saudi Arabia for the upcoming Super ShowDown PPV and it looks like the company won’t be booking him on the show as a result.
— While Owens joins other wrestlers such as Daniel Bryan and John Cena who have stated that they don’t want to go to Saudi Arabia, it’s unclear if Owens’ decision is tied to the fact that WWE has kept his good friend Sami Zayn away from the event due to the strained relations between the Saudi Arabia and Zayn’s home country, Syria. Earlier this month, Rajah tweeted the following:
Re: Sami Zayn. Not gonna say who sent it to whom, but on the last show, there was an internal directive saying something along of the lines of "It is imperative that there should be NO mention of Sami Zayn EVER, AT ALL on the show", I am doubting he will be there. https://t.co/5Py4TuWwuV

— It is also not know if Owens’ absence from Super ShowDown has resulted in WWE bringing back Dolph Ziggler as the challenger for champion Kofi Kingston at the PPV. Owens wrestled in the very first event in the Saudi Arabia – Greatest Royal Rumble – but was injured for Crown Jewel later in 2018.
