This first post Extreme Rules RAW starts with September 11, 2001. Pictures of the Trade Center Towers in flames, Bush speaking over the images. Firefighters look up at the buildings, raising flags. Onto more military and patriotic shots. September 13, 2001, Smackdown went live in Huston, Texas. VKM in the ring said the show has to go on. Anyone who wanted to speak could, wanted to wrestle, could Lillian sang the National Anthem. That was one amazing show.

Live to Miami and Lillian is in the ring to sing the National Anthem. As she always does, she sang beautifully! After it was over she fist pumped and the “USA” chants started from the fans.

Music and pyro.

Rock’s music and the arena erupts. Out to the stage in a black Brahma bull/American flag tank and black track pants. He sucked up the adoration, then headed to the ring. Justin announces him and he poses for the fans on one corner, then the opposite. Rock gets a mic, soaks in the love. His music ends and the chants start. The fans quiet, but then cheer when he moves a tiny bit. He readies himself, looks very serious, then waits again!

Finally! The Rock has come – home! The arena erupts again. “Rocky” chants and Rock looks overcome with emotion. Before we get started, he has one thing to say. WE GOT HIM!

“USA” chants. He wants to say thank you to the proud men and women who continuously and fearlessly fight for our great country, day and night. His family is in the military and he’s proud of them. He’s proud of Seals Team Six! There’s only one way to start tonight. He wants to lead everyone. Miami, join me. America, join me. Rock said the Pledge of Allegiance with everyone right along with him. “USA” chants.

God lord almighty, it feels good to be home! Back where it all began, where he came out of the womb and the doctor said this boy’s name is Johnson. In school Rock had an afro and moustache, looked like the lead singer of Manudo. He showed a pic of him from high school on the tron and the fans laughed. He told them not to laugh because he’s devoured more pie in one night than King Kong Bundy devoured in a Polish bakery. “Rocky” chants.

Then the Rock onto college. Onto the ‘U’. Rock electrifying the Orange Bowl and bringing the Championship to the great city of Miami. Rock to the WWE where he became the jabroni beating, pie eating, trail blazing, eyebrow raising, enough with yacking, done with the speech, the Rock’s ready to party all over south Beach! If you smell –

Ding-Ding! Cole, on his ipad. And I quote – but Rock cut him off. Cole, Rock can’t hear him. He has to gall to interrupt on his birthday. Show some decency, show some class and read it to Rock’s face. King said he’d like to see that.

Cole declined and said he’d read from there. Rock tells Cole that if he’s scared of the Rock, he understands. Cole won at WM and Extreme Rules, so he must consider himself a tough guy. Cole nods. Well, Cole can be a tough guy or the voice of the WWE and read to Rock’s face or he can sit in his little box looking like a drunk hobbit jackbag bitch! The fans love this. Rock puts a finger up and the “Rocky” chants fill the arena.

Cole says he doesn’t even know what jackbag means! (Neither do I!) But he’ll tell Rock this, he’s not scared of anything. He’s not that kid who Rock threw t-shirts on an humiliated back then. He’s a winner now and associates with winners. Cole wants to show Rock, so he starts stripping in his Mine. He stands on his desk to show a Celtic’s Jersey. The Miami fans about go insane! He asks Miami if they’re jealous because we have more world championships than anyone in history and about to get one more. Rock wants him to deliver this face to face? He will, Dwayne.

Cole to the ring and says the RAW GM demands an apology because Rock embarrassed the GM at WM. If Rock doesn’t, the GM will close this party down. And Cole wants an apology. He wants it for all the pain and embarrassment over the years. Just say he’s sorry.

Rock thinks, then tells Cole he’s right. He did disrespect the GM at WM and Cole over the years. Rock has one thing to say to Cole. I’m sorry and extends his hand to Cole. Rock reminds Cole they’re live in Miami and in front of Rock’s millions and millions of fans. Either Cole will accept or he won’t. Cole takes Rock’s hand and thanks him for apologizing tonight.

Rock keeps hold of Cole’s hand. Rock says, “Thank you and go BLEEEEEEP!” Rock bottom, then people’s elbow to Cole. Rock’s music plays, but he calls to them to stop the music. This is Miami and his birthday. So he’s bringing out 305 Pitbull. He comes out to a huge pop, then starts singing and the fans love him. The Miami Heat girls come out dancing on the stage as Pitbull sings.

WWE Rewind – R-Truth getting huge heel heat last week on RAW. Then JoMo came out and tackled R-Truth from behind. JoMo just kept attacking R-Truth.

JR, King and Josh are all on announce now that Cole’s gone! RAW will sound like RAW again!

R-Truth attacks JoMo as he comes out in his regular way. R-Truth on JoMo hard with blows, then slams JoMo face first to the floor. JoMo holds the right side of his neck as other refs rush out. (Read RUMOR about JoMo having neck issues, so this might be…) The ref’s get JoMo up and help him out. JoMo says he can’t feel his hand as they’re selling the neck issue hard. R-Truth back out, grabs JoMo, then slams JoMo face first onto the stage. The refs get between R-Truth and JoMo. Video from a different angle that showed R-Truth looking really deranged – announcers’ terms – as he slammed JoMo to the stage.

Video of Jimmy Kimmel wishing Rock a happy birthday. Kimmel’s a candy ass, then pulls a bag of candy from behind his bum.

Maryse vs. Kelly Kelly

Maryse out to the ring, removes her coat to show a white with sequined two piece outfit. Kelly out in pink and white.

JR says he bets a blonde wins this one. They talk smack, then some slaps. Kelly nails Maryse with a bulldog and blows, but then Kharma’s music hit. Kelly looks scared, but doesn’t leave the ring! Kharma stalks down to the ring, Kelly looking scared, Maryse still on the mat.

Kharma slowly climbs up on the apron and into the ring, Kelly in a corner, on the mat, looking totally scared. Kharma looks between the two Divas, acts like she’s heading for Kelly, but then went and grabbed Maryse. Implant buster on Maryse – one of the best I’ve seen. Kharma to her feet turns to Kelly, then leaves the ring. Her laughter/music plays as Kharma looks back in the ring at Maryse. Kharma is smiling into the ring, laughing, Kelly looks like a deer in headlights.

Backstage A-Ri comes in to find a pissed Miz. Miz is pissed that A-Ri was late. A-Ri said it was traffic due to Rock. Miz asks why A-Ri wasn’t ringside last night? A-Ri says he was drafted to Smackdown. Miz tells A-Ri that he’s under a personal contract to Miz. A-Ri better be ringside tonight. People won’t be talking about Rock’s birthday, they’ll be talking about the new WWE Champion.

Paul Walker from Fast Five wishes Rock a happy birthday. Tell Fruity Pebbles that Rock might be a year older, but he can see him. He can smell something cooking, then Walker walks off screen.

Samuel L. Jackson wishes Rock a happy birthday, and he has Rock’s back. Rock thinks that if Samuel saw Rock in a fight with a bear, that he’d help the bear, but no. Rock’s his kind of guy. Samuel would walk through a lion’s den with steak drawers on for Rock!

Backstage Rock is singing happy birthday to Michelle Obama and she loved it. The best part is that Obama hit him with the eyebrow, President’s eyebrow. He’s telling this to the Divas. He then saw Teddy Long. Kozlov wrote Rock a screenplay for his birthday. This threw Rocky for a bit of a loop, wondering if Kozlov is crazy. Then Santino came in with a skull cap and moustache to look like Vin from Fast Five – which they push hard. Knuckle bumps. He tweeks Santino’s chin fuzz and Santino giggles. Then Hornswoggle came running in as the Scorpion King. Then Khali comes into the show wearing a huge tutu! “You can’t handle the tooth!” Rocky is roaring. He says he has the perfect person to describe all this. Ron Simmons comes in, works up to it, then – DAMN!

Steve Carell is being forced against his will to wish Rock a happy birthday. He hates Rock, has worked with Rock, that made it worse. He’s not being paid, so he’s doing this against his will and against his better judgment. Happy birthday, you’re a kind and generous person and Steve hopes to see him soon.

WWE Championship Rematch – John Cena (c) vs. Miz w/ A-Ri

Miz, looking really pissed, heads to the ring. A-Ri is the ring a nice suit, but a glaring red shirt and ugly plaid tie. Cena out, strap in hand. Cena looks very serious, salutes, then heads for the ring. Justin announces them both in the ring.

The bell and they start circling. They lock up. Side headlock on Cena and Miz wrenches down on it. Cena pushes off, drops under Miz, leapfrogs over Miz, then hip toss and drop kick. Bulldog on Miz for two. A-Ri watching closely. Cena telegraphs and is kicked for it. Blows to Cena. Blows to Miz, then A-Ri on the apron and takes a huge shot form Cena. This is enough distraction for Miz to clothesline Cena. On Cena with blows, then throws Cena from the ring. Miz distracts the ref for A-Ri to clothesline Cena outside.

Miz sends Cena shoulder first into the stairs. Miz leans down and talks smack to Cena. Cena is rolled in, but Miz is only able to get two. Dueling chants for Cena. Cena in a corner, Miz hits his huge sitting clothesline to Cena, then comes off the top with a double axe handle on Cena for two.

Miz nails Cena with a high knee, then a neck breaker on Cena for two. Kicks and blows to Cena in a corner. The ref pulls Miz back, but he goes in for more. More dueling chants for Cena. Miz runs for Cena in a corner, but Cena moves. Shoulder blocks, then a slam from Cena. Five Knuckle Shuffle on Miz, then up for the AA, but Miz down and kicks Cena in the head!

Miz heads to kick Cena in the head, but Cena trips him up and locks on the STF. A-Ri was right there cheering Miz to the ropes. Miz gets there and free. Kick to Cena’s knee, then a low DDT on Cena for a long two. The fans seem to want Cena to lose – of most do. Miz works the padding as A-Ri distracts outside. The ref doesn’t see it. Cena stops before hitting the corner and gets Miz up for an AA, but he grabs the ropes. Miz grabs Cena and nails him with a neck breaker for an even longer two. JR says that’s the closest near fall you’ll ever see. Dueling Cena chants.

Miz sets up for the SCF, but bum bumps Miz back causing a ref bump. Cena grabs Miz and locks on the STF, but no ref for Miz’s tapping. Cena up to see A-Ri with the briefcase. A-Ri up for the AA, but the case to his gut from Miz. SCF to Cena and then Miz pins. A-Ri gets the ref into the ring, but Cena managed to kick out!

Miz is pissed, but walks right into an AA! Cena pins, but somehow Miz kicks out. King and JR are in awe. Josh maintains his decorum. A-Ri puts the strap in one corner, then distracts the ref in the opposite corner. Miz nails Cena in the head with the strap and pins for three.

Winner – Miz

The ref sees the strap in the ring, gets up in Miz and A-Ri’s business, then goes to talk to Justin. The ref says Miz is disqualified. Miz pushes A-Ri, totally pissed. Clotheslines to A-Ri and Miz, then A-Ri eats an AA.

Winner – Cena via DQ

Ellen Degeneres wishes Rock a happy birthday. I think that’s the outfit she was wearing the day he was recently on his show. She was very funy and very sweet to Rocky.

Tyler Perry wishes Rock a happy birthday. Then he does it in his Madea.

Video of Cena on the announce table after Extreme Rules ended. He talked up the military. He announced that we have caught and compromised to a bitter end Osama Bin Laden. Cena was in tears. He said he fears damned proud to be an American. Hand slaps and shakes as he left ringside. On the stage he formally salutes before heading outback.

Rey Mysterio & Kofi Kingston vs. Jack Swagger & Drew McIntyre

Ricardo announces Alberto Del Rio who comes out in a Rolls-Royce Phantom. Josh is about drooling over the car. JR says $350,000 will buy you a big home in Oklahoma. Rey comes bouncing out in red and yellow. Kofi bounces out in his normal eye searing green with pink trim, strap over his shoulder. Swagger and McIntyre to the ring together.

Rey and Swagger start, waistlock takedown on Rey, then Swagger on Rey in a corner. Rey whipped and got a foot up. Head scissors send Swagger into a corner. Bucking bronco to Swagger. Kofi tags in, Rey plays the springboard for Kofi to land on Swagger. More blows to Swagger, a kick to his face, but when the ref’s back was turned, Drew clotheslined Kofi from the apron.

Chinlock on Kofi from Swagger. Kofi elbows out, but gets caught heading for Rey. Kofi into the heel corner and McIntyre tags in and blows on Kofi. Alberto says he was told he was going to be the only Mexican on RAW. JR says that you can’t always believe everything ‘they’ say. Alberto says Rey is a Chihuahua following Alberto everywhere. McIntyre attacks Kofi, stomping his head, then gloating. Kofi suddenly grabs McIntyre with a schoolboy for a long two. McIntyre back on Kofi and gets two for it.

Swagger tags back in and more blows on Kofi. (I just noticed Swagger’s face. Stacy told me that Rey kicked Swagger a bit hard, or something looked a bit off. As I’m trying to catch up and can’t touch type very well, I didn’t really see it. But now I just noticed that Swagger has Rey’s shoe print on his left cheek!) Front facelock on Kofi as Alberto takls about his destiny. JR talks about Rey being more popular. Alberto called Rey a disgrace! Swagger takes Kofi down, then a cheap shot on Rey. McIntyre tags in and forearms to Kofi’s upper back. Back suplex on Kofi, but Kofi lands on his feet and runs at Rey to tag out.

Rey with the hot tag rushes in with head scissors on McIntyre, then a kick to the chest, a trip and another blow on McIntyre for two. Swagger breaks the attempt. Swagger on Rey, picks him up. Dropkicks McIntyre into 619 territory. Swagger gets tossed from the ring by Kofi, then Kofi nails McIntyre with TIP which lands him back in 619 territory. Rey hits 619, then Alberto to his feet. Rey up and flies with a head butt on McIntyre for three.

Winner – Rey & Kofi

Alberto on the apron and eats a drop kick as the bell was still ringing! They both talks smack. Suddenly on the screen is the Washington Monument and the Mall. Josh talks up the WWE Anti-Bullying Campaign.

Trip, Ariel Winter, David Arquette talk about the Be A Star Campaign. They talk about Orton’s new movie. America Ferrera, Michelle Trachtenburg, Alyssa Milano, Jeremy Piven, Omar Epps and others talk up this new campaign.

Ludacris wishes Rock a happy birthday!

Dan Marino, the famous Dolphin, wishes Rocky a happy birthday.

Backstage Rock talks to Christian. He watched the match and is proud of him. Rock then shook hands with Evan, then EXCUSE ME!! EXCUSE ME!! Vickie, then Dolph says he knows Rock likes pie. They had a cake and opened it to show Mae. They all laugh, then he stops. He tells Vickie that she can lose all the weight she wants, but she’ll never look as good or beautiful as Mae Young! Rock thanked her for coming, then planted one on her! Rock says he gets more pie in one night than Dolph gets in a lifetime! They handle Mea very carefully.

Rock turns to Cena. He says he has a gift only Rock can get from him. It’s the Title. He won it and will keep it until WM. He’s giving the gift of making the biggest match ever bigger, but Rock has to go through Cena. Rock’s reply? “Just bring it!” Cena says ‘happy birthday’ and leaves. Rocky’s left almost seething.

Backstage Kane is heading for the ring.

George Lopez wishes Rocky a happy birthday. He then drew a fake eyebrow on with marker.

Mason Ryan vs. Kane

Ryan comes out with Punk by his side. Kane comes out to face Ryan. Kane calls fire from the four corners.

They lock up, Ryan pushes Kane back to the mat. They lock, Kane pushed off and out of the ring. Kane slides back in and is able to get a side headlock on, but Kane couldn’t shoulder block Ryan to the mat. Ryan shoulder blocked Kane, then scooped him up. Ryan held Kane a bit, then slammed Kane. Blows in a corner, then Kane whipped hard. Kane whipped again, but got a foot up. Upper cut, then blows on Ryan. Ryan into a corner, then clothesline in the corner. Punk in, eats a clothesline, but it’s over.

Winner – Kane via DQ

The rest of Nexus rush down. Otunga and McGillicutty are fought down, then Kane grabbed Ryan around the throat, but Ryan muscles Kane’s hand off Ryan’s throat. Ryan hit Kane with a side slam. Big Show’s music and he runs to the ring. Otunga is tossed out first, then McGillicutty was the next Big Show threw out. Head butt to Punk. Ryan then spears Big Show to the mat! JR says it’s a ‘slobberknocker’ of a hit. Kane and Big Show are left lying in the ring as Ryan leaves the ring, leaves Punk in the ring, Otunga and McGillicutty outside. Not waiting for his team. Up on the stage Ryan is still seething down at the ring as the other three of Nexus stare up at him in disbelief.

Regis and Kelly wish Rocky a happy 39th birthday. Regis went off in typical Regis way.

Craig Ferguson wishes Rocky a happy birthday. Of the many people who can kill him, Rock frightens him the most. Plus he smells the best. Smells like Peaches. He means Peaches the stripper, not the fruit.

Rocky comes back out to the ring. The music stops and the chants start. He asks if everybody have a good time? Have fun? Before the big finale, he has something to tell us all, he thanks them for coming out and supporting him. Making this one of the best birthdays of his life. His beautiful family that here tonight – they’re behind announce. He wants to thank his family on the couch watching tonight. He wants to thank the WWE. Just as sure as this night was the biggest and greatest birthday on TV. Just as sure as a proud Hurricane – mixed reaction to that. As a proud Hurricane and son of Miami, he gives his word that next year’s WM, the people’s WM will be the biggest and greatest WM of all time –

VKM’s music cuts Rocky off! VKM comes strutting out, Rocky is all smiles. VKM wishes Rocky a happy birthday. He thanks everyone for watching. He thanks for that night when Rock was quite young, pulled VKM aside and asked for that opportunity to reach for that brass ring, take the WWE to heights no one has seen. He’d do something no WWE Superstar has done before and Rock did that. He thanks Rock for that. Thanks Rock for his respect, passion, humanity, giving this audience the opportunity to say what? “What?” Thank you. Wants to thank Rock for his love of life and devotion, but most importantly Rock, he wants to thank him for being the Rock. On behalf of the WWE organization the put together something for Rocky. Of all the heartfelt thank yous, thank you for coming home. Rocky looks very touched by all VKM said.

Video starting very young in Rocky’s life, then to WMXXVII. Pics of Rocky as a child with family, but also with Blasse and then with Andre. Old video clips of Rocky playing college ball. Then onto Rocky’s first night in the ring, showing him really young, but then older and facing other big names. Rocky swearing he’s never going away. The fans go wild for the video, Rocky looks about to cry, breathing funny, blinking a lot.

Justin says there’s a Grammy Award winning singer to sing for Rock. Ii is very obvious that Rocky didn’t know anything about this. She comes up, talks up Rocky, then asks the fans to sing with her. She sings Happy Birthday to Rocky and he looks as happy as I’ve seen him. Rocky claps for her, really getting emotional now. He paces a bit to gather himself. Shakes off tears.

Rocky says, my family, Miami, the WWE Universe, everyone backstage, Team Bring It worldwide, thank you, I love you! If you smell what the Rock is cookin’! Streamers fall into and around the ring from above. Balloons start to fall, Rocky hands off his mic, then looks directly at announce and his family behind them and looked each square in the eye and said, “Thank you!” to each, off mic.
