Ever since the government has passed the controversial triple talaq bill, banning instant triple talaq among the Muslim community, a section of the society was hoping that this law would work as a deterrent. However, it seems, that some people are adamant on continuing the practice which is even banned in many prominent Muslim majority countries. There seems to be no fear of the law that puts the offenders behind the bars.

In a recent case, a man in Rajasthan pronounced triple talaq within an hour of his marriage after getting to know that his wife hasn’t brought a car as dowry. According to reports, the accused, identified as Nadeem, has been arrested for his act.
