In a rather bizarre case of data theft, a 27-year-old Delhi man realised that his PAN card details were being misused and that he was a director of 13 companies!

The Indian government has been trying to set mechanisms in place to check tax frauds, bogus companies trying to escape the ambit of law tend to find ways to cheat the system. However, in Anuj Kumar Srivastav’s case, data theft became a matter of huge confusion and worry. Srivastav is a sales representative for a pharma company but he was listed as the “director” of 13 different companies.
