NXT Superstar Fabian Aichner dropped the EVOLVE World Championship this Saturday night at the EVOLVE 117 event in Woodside, NY, losing to up-and-coming independent name Austin Theory in a triple threat that also included NXT Tag Team Champion Roderick Strong.

Aichner won the title from Shane Strickland at EVOLVE 114, successfully defending the belt against fellow NXT Superstar Kassius Ohno less than two weeks later at EVOLVE 115. The Italian-born wrestler has also been working dates for the NXT UK promotion.
