NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 12 Results (01/04): Tokyo, Japan

The show starts with a video package running down the entire card for tonight’s PPV.
Kevin Kelly and Don Callis welcomes us to the show and we get right to the first match of the night.
Preshow Match:

New Japan Rumble Match: Masahito Kakihara wins the New Japan Rumble by last eliminating Cheeseburger via pinfall with the Kaki Cutter. (The Rumble Entrants were as follows: BUSHI, Chase Owens, Cheeseburger, David Finlay, Delirious, El Desperado, Gino Gambino, Henare, Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Jushin Liger, Katsuya Kitamura, Leo Tonga, Manabu Nakanishi, Masahito Kakihara, Satoshi Kojima, TAKA Michinoku, Tiger Mask IV, YOSHI-HASHI, Yoshinobu Kanemaru, Yuji Nagata, and Yujiro Takahashi)
After the match, Kakihara cuts a promo about how he beat cancer and then he asks people to send their support to Yoshihiro Takayama.
Main Show:
Roppongi 3K (SHO & YO) (c) vs. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson): The IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Titles are on the line in this one. The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) def. Roppongi 3K (SHO & YOH) (c) via submission by using the Sharpshooter. Nick Jackson locked in the Sharpshooter on YOH making him submit and thus winning the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team Championships.

Bullet Club (Tama Tonga, Tanga Loa & Bad Luck Fale) (c) vs. Taguchi Japan (Ryusuke Taguchi, Juice Robinson & Togi Makabe) vs. Chaos (Beretta, Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii) vs. War Machine (Hanson & Raymond Rowe) & Michael Elgin vs. Suzuki Gun (Taichi, Takashi Iizuka & Zack Sabre Jr.) (Gauntlet Match): The NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Titles are on the line in this one. Chaos (Beretta, Toru Yano & Tomohiro Ishii) wins the Never Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Championships by last eliminating The Bullet Club (Tama Tonga, Tonga Loa & Bad Luck Fale) via pinfall with the Dude Buster from Beretta on Tama Tonga.
Commentary promises that there will be some news regarding Strong Style Evolved in March.
Cody vs. Kota Ibushi (Special Attraction Singles Match): Kota Ibushi def. Cody via pinfall with the Phoenix Splash.

Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith Jr. & Lance Archer) (c) vs. Los Ingobernables de Japon (EVIL & SANADA): The IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Titles are on the line in this one. Los Ingobernables de Japon (EVIL & SANADA) def. Killer Elite Squad (Davey Boy Smith, Jr. & Lance Archer) to win the IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Championships by pinfall with a moonsault from SANADA on Smith.
Minoru Suzuki (c) vs. Hirooki Goto (Hair vs. Hair Match) (Nobody Is Allowed At Ringside): The NEVER Openweight Title is on the line in this one. Hirooki Goto def. Minoru Suzuki to win the Never Openweight Championship via pinfall with the GTR.
After the match, Minoru Suzuki seems like he is going to leave without doing the stipulation but he comes back to the ring, sets up a chair, and uses the clippers himself to shave his head.
We then get a video package showing NJPW’s major events for 2018 until the G1 Climax.
Marty Scurll (c) vs. Hiromu Takahashi vs. Kushida vs. Will Ospreay (Fatal Four Way Match): The IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Title is on the line in this one. Will Ospreay def. Hiromu Takahashi, KUSHIDA, and Marty Scurll to win the IWGP Jr. Heavyweight Championship by pinfall with the OsCutter on Marty Scurll.
Hiroshi Tanahashi (c) vs. “Switchblade” Jay White: This IWGP Intercontinental Title is on the line in this one. Hiroshi Tanahashi def. “Switchblade” Jay White to retain the IWGP Intercontinental Championship by pinfall with the High Fly Flow.
Kenny Omega (c) vs. Chris Jericho (No Disqualification Match): The IWGP United States Title is on the line in this one. Kenny Omega def. Chris Jericho to retain the IWGP United States Championship by pinfall with a One-Winged Angel on a chair.
Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Tetsuya Naito: The IWGP Heavyweight Title is on the line in this one. Kazuchika Okada def. Tetsuya Naito to retain the IWGP Heavyweight Championship by pinfall with the Rainmaker.
After the match, Gedo grabs the mic and says that Naito is like superhuman but he also says that nobody can stop Okada. Okada then speaks and says that he would like to wrestle Tetsuya Naito in the Tokyo Dome again and he thanks the crowd. He also promises to fill it up next time. He goes on to say that his fans are happy and Naito’s fans are sad, but he wants to make all wrestling fans happy, to rain not just cash, but also happiness.
