NJ Juvenile Charged In Homicide Case, 2 Others Arrested: Prosecutor
WOODBURY, NJ — A juvenile was charged after a homicide last weekend in South Jersey. When law enforcement found him in a vehicle, another person pointed a gun at them, according to the Gloucester County Prosecutor’s Office (GCPO).
Three people have been charged in relation to the shooting death of Ti’jere K. Jackson. The 21-year-old was found dead early Saturday morning at Wing-Dickerson Park in Woodbury, officials said.
Just before 1:30 a.m., Woodbury police were dispatched to the park at 36 Carpenter St. Jackson had suffered a single gunshot wound to the chest and was pronounced dead at the scene, the GCPO said.

Detectives quickly identified the juvenile suspect — authorities haven’t disclosed their name or any identifying info.
At about 3:30 a.m. that morning, authorities found someone picking up the suspect. During that stop, the driver pointed a firearm at arresting officers, the GCPO said.

The driver — James Workman, 20 — and the juvenile were taken into custody. A third person — Amante Black-Thompson, 18, of Woodbury — was charged with criminal attempted robbery in relation to the homicide.
Workman, of Barrington, was charged with aggravated assault on an officer by pointing a firearm, possession of a ghost handgun, unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, and possession of a handgun with hollow-point ammunition. He was placed in the Salem County Correctional Facility.
The Gloucester County Medical Examiner’s Office conducted an autopsy Sunday on Jackson. Medical personnel determined that his manner of death was homicide, caused by a gunshot wound.
The juvenile was charged with undisclosed offenses in relation to the homicide.
