-Dean Ambrose entered Raw with a right elbow injury. Usually worked injuries are on the left side of the body because that’s how traditionally holds are applied in wrestling (so holds can be applied by the right handed person on offense, and comebacks can be made leading with the non-injured right arm), so anytime someone sells the right side, it’s a clue it could be legit. So last night’s collision by Seth on Dean, while it could set up tension between them, was booked primarily to explain Dean’s inactivity in the match and possible absence from in-ring action. PWInsider reports he’ll be evaluated in Birmingham, Ala. tomorrow.

-Alexa Bliss posted on Twitter her thoughts on the Royal Rumble announcement last night. “Life is about me=oments. Tonight on Raw was one of those moments we will never forget. Proud of all WWE women’s divisions.”

-The NWA has posted a new “10 Pounds of Gold” YouTube video featuring Tim Storm and a discussion of the history and heritage of the NWA World Hvt. Title. It’s titled “Days Like These.” It features some vintage footage of Lou Thesz, Jack Brisco, Ric Flair, Harley Race, Dory Funk Jr., Andre the Giant, and Dusty Rhodes. It includes a cameo from Billy Corgan. It also includes cool footage of the CZW venue in New Jersey being constructed at the Dec. 9 show where Storm lost the title. Also, Austin Idol in a Santa Hat standing with Nick Aldis. The press release previews the video this way:

The story of NWA Ten Pounds of Gold continues on with reigning NWA Worlds Heavyweight Champion Tim Storm.

With Tim Storm accepting the invitation of Combat Zone Wrestling to appear at CZW’s Cage of Death, the pressure mounted for the 53-Year-Old School teacher and so did the injuries. An injury to the NWA Champion by Jocephus, left him with two cracked ribs.

Tim Storm had promised to look the CZW Locker Room in the eye and see who wanted to make history. Men like Matt Tremont, Ethan Page, and MJF all walked to the ring and laid their claim to the Ten Pounds of Gold. But it was the return of a legend – The Universal Heartthrob Austin Idol that shocked the wrestling world.

Austin Idol called out Tim Storm on his promise of “Anywhere, Anytime’ to The Universal Heartthrobs new client – Nick Aldis. The shocking turn of events at CZW’s Cage of Death play out in Episode Ten of NWA Ten Pounds of Gold.
