Myhre Officially Resigns As Mayor Of Stafford

STAFFORD, NJ — Greg Myhre officially resigned as mayor of Stafford Township on Tuesday, in order to take his spot in the 9th Legislative District General Asssembly.

In a final mayor’s briefing posted Jan. 9, Myhre said his farewells to Stafford and signed his letter of resignation on camera. His resignation is required by New Jersey state law, which prohibits elected officials from holding more than one office.

Myhre reflected on his time as mayor during the briefing, and thanked his family for their support. “God bless Stafford Township,” he said as he signed the letter.
