M&S flagship for London
After ten years, a brand new Marks&Spencer’s opened its doors in Collier Wood on May 1st. Model, Erin O’Connor, and M&S Director of Clothing, Kate Bostock unveiled the M&S’s new flagship store of 100,800 sq ft.
The new London store offers an array of fashion across womenswear, including per una, Limited Collection and Autograph ranges. Menswear features the Autograph range, as well as a selection of tailoring and a serviced footwear department. Childrenswear, lingerie, and a selection of accessories are also available.
Employing 440 people, the store opened under Marks & Spencer’s contemporary interior design. The store includes initiatives in line with Plan A, M&S’ 100-point, five-year ‘eco’ plan. Water saving features, energy efficient escalators and lighting with movement sensors will help save energy. Cycle racks have been installed to encourage employees to cycle to the store and 80% of all construction waste materials have been recycled.
The two cafés – a 50-seater located on the ground floor and a 120-seater on the first floor – serve a wide choice of refreshments, including Fairtrade tea and coffee served by specially trained baristas.
