Mexicali Brews Closes Restaurant On Route 22 In Branchburg

BRANCHBURG, NJ — Mexicali Brews of Branchburg held its last fiesta before closing for good on Aug. 9.

“We kept the party going as long as we could…,” said Mexicali Brews.

The Mexican-inspired restaurant had previously opened on May 5, 2001, at 3366 Route 22 in Branchburg — formerly home to Sol Mexican Cantina.

Following the closure, the restaurant sold much of its memorabilia on eBay.

It is unclear why the restaurant closed or what will replace it at this time.
