Kevin Nash Furious Backstage, More On Cute Kip & Jacqueline Being Dropped, More
source: Wrestling Observer Newsletter
— While Kevin Nash always keeps his cool and acts like things rolls off his back, he was visibly furious at last week’s set of Impact tapings over what Eric Bischoff recently said about him. His former boss WCW called “Big Lazy” in a recent interview.
— As noted earlier, Cute Kip and Jacqueline were recently dropped as characters in TNA. In a cost-cutting move, company president Dixie Carter made the decision to drop both veterans as television characters.
Moore, who worked a live event the night before last month’s Destination X pay-per-view, was not brought to the arena. Nothing was said about it because apparently the decision on whether to use them going forward was still being debated, but most likely they were done at least as far as television characters went.
Kip was backstage at TV and the pay-per-view as he lives near the area, but never used.
It was apparently a sudden decision as Destination X was scripted with Jacqueline to grab the belts from the announcers desk for the count out in Beer Money, Inc.’s title match. However, Don West ended up giving Beer Money, Inc. the belts because they needed to make a new plan when Carter made the decision to pull her from television.
Jacqueline’s departure from TNA programming was explained on television as showing Beer Money, Inc. was “trying to get serious.”
— People in TNA have been encouraged by the ratings increase in recent weeks and the belief is Lockdown will probably do the best numbers for a pay-per-view since last year’s Lockdown.
