KATONAH, NY — Westchester resident Martha Stewart, the cooking, baking, gardening, living well maven, has joined a Canadian company to assist with developing and marketing a broad line of cannabis-related products. Canopy Growth Corporation announced Thursday that Stewart will work in an advisory role on CBD products.

CBD, or cannabidiol, is a naturally occurring compound found in the resinous flower of cannabis.

Stewart said, in a press release, that she was delighted to share her knowledge gained after years of experience in the subject of living.

“I’m especially looking forward to our first collaboration together, which will offer sensible products for people’s beloved pets,” the Katonah resident said.

Canopy Growth Chairman and co-CEO Bruce Linton said that when you hear the name Martha, people know exactly who they are talking about.

“Martha is one of a kind and I am so excited to be able to work alongside this icon to sharpen our CBD product offerings across categories from human to animal,” he said.

The press release announcing the partnership ended with “Here’s to Future Growth (it’s a good thing),” the latter of which is a Stewart catchphrase.

CBD does not get people or pets high but is said to provide health benefits including pain relief, People magazine said.

Stewart and singer Snoop Dogg star on a hybrid talk show and cooking show called “Martha & Snoop’s Potluck Dinner Party,” which airs on VH1.

Initially, Stewart will be advising Canopy on therapeutic remedies for pets, CNBC.com said.

While her name is on myriad home goods, bedding, meal kits and books, this is Stewart’s first foray into a marijuana-related business.
