Free Event 'Ramps & Amps' Returns To Dana Point: What To Know

DANA POINT, CA — A free family event is returning to Dana Point, after the city announced that Ramps & Amps will return to Domingo Avenue on Saturday, Aug. 17.

The event is sponsored by Tillys and offers residents a free, family-friendly environment that will feature: professional skate and BMX athlete demonstrations throughout the day, a public street course where attendees can bring their own board, live music, food trucks and more.

“The city is amped to bring this event back to Doheny Village,” Dana Point Deputy Director of Community Services Jeff Rosaler told Patch. “Working alongside our partners, we will have a fun-filled day of skating, biking, eating and rocking.”

According to Rosaler, the event will be a one-day event for children of all ages and their families. The event will feature demonstrations, a street course and live music starting at 1 p.m.

“We are thrilled that the city council wanted to bring this great event back for Dana Point residents,” Rosaler said.

Dana Point residents looking to be a part of the event can observe the following schedule:

Residents interested in taking part in the event can find parking on Las Vegas Street, Doheny Park Road and at Capo Beach Church.

Residents can also take the Dana Point Trolley to stop S3, ride an e-bike and park in the corrals provided by Doheny Bikes.

The Ramps & Amps event takes place Saturday, Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. on Domingo Avenue in Dana Point.
