FIFA World Cup: Portugal vs Ghana – Ronaldo And His Side All Set To Prove It On The Football Pitch

Portugal will be eager to let their football do the talking when they take on Ghana in their FIFA World Cup opener on November 24 with Cristiano Ronaldo’s comments about Manchester United in the backdrop, as per Reuters. 

The Euro 2016 champions crushed Nigeria 4-0 in their last warm-up match .

Ghana made it to the quarters in 2010 and are confident after beating Switzerland 2-0 in a friendly.

Portugal coach Fernando Santos is under pressure from local media and fans after a last-16 Euro exit in 2021. 

There is speculation tension in the squad and fans are worried that the team is too focused to serve skipper Ronaldo.

“The environment in the changing room is excellent. No problems,” said Ronaldo. 

“The group is shielded. And I take this opportunity to say: stop asking about me,” he added. 

The teams met last met in the 2014 edition when Portugal won 2-1 due to a late winning goal by Ronaldo.
