We don’t blame you for being a little, um, distracted on Monday evening, given the news cycle (A controversial immigration policy! A Senate Judiciary Committee probe! A new episode of The Bachelorette!). 

So if you happened to miss the MTV Movie & TV Awards, hosted by the one-and-only Tiffany Haddish, don’t fret—we’ve got your back. Here’s everything you missed: 

Tiffany Haddish re-wore that white Alexander McQueen dress.

Yep, Haddish donned the iconic white Alexander McQueen gown—which has been to the Oscars, SNL, and the Girls Trip movie premiere. Now it’s made an appearance on the MTV stage, too.

Oh, and she also dressed up like Meghan Markle. 

Haddish’s stylist, Law Roach, told InStyle that he thought it would be funny for the host to not only to re-wear her McQueen look, but to re-wear other people’s best looks as well. That includes Meghan Markle’s Givenchy wedding gown, the va-va-voom number that Cardi B wore to reveal her pregnancy, the iconic Versace dress J. Lo wore to the 2000 Grammys, and more.

Chris Pratt and Lena Waithe accepted the top honors.

While accepting the Generation Award (previous winners include Will Smith and Robert Downey Jr.), Pratt doled out some helpful advice. “Whatever you do, work for it,” he said. “Doesn’t matter what it is. Earn it. It feels good.” After a few shout-outs to God and a poop joke, he wrapped things up saying, “Be kind, don’t be a bully, be of service, and don’t be a turd.”

Screenwriter/actress Waithe, who took home the Trailblazer Award (past honorees have included Emma Stone and Emma Watson), told reporters, “I think [being a trailblazer] means to be your authentic self. When you’re being your authentic self, you can’t help but blaze a trail, because no one has done it before.” 

“No one was ever James Baldwin before James Baldwin. No one was ever Shirley Chisholm before Shirley Chisholm,” she continued. “They were their authentic selves, and they did things in their own way, and therefore, the world was not the same after they existed.”

Lady Gaga showed up.

Gaga shocked and delighted the crowd by showing up to present the award for Best Movie, which went to Black Panther. The singer, whose documentary Gaga: Five Foot Two, was also a winner, added, “I love you little monsters so much and happy Pride month … I just have one problem. I recently found out I’m actually 5’3’¾. I’m so so sorry. But thank you so much.” 

But Millie Bobby Brown didn’t.

Brown, who took home the award for Best Performance in a Show, split her kneecap (ouch) and was told sit out the awards on her doctor’s orders. Always next time!
