Europa League: Barcelona vs Manchester United – New Competition Attendance Record Set

The Europa League encounter between Barcelona and Manchester United saw the largest attendance in the history of the competition, as per Reuters. 

90,255 people came to watch the game at Camp Nou.

The match was drawn 2-2. 


The attendance broke the previous attendance record of 80,465 fans who saw Tottenham Hotspur play Gent at Wembley Stadium in 2017.

Barcelona also hold the current attendance record in the Champions League. 

115,500 people attended their 1994-95 game vs against PSG.

In the 2021-22 season, 91,648 fans were in attendance for a women’s match as Barcelona beat VfL Wolfsburg 5-1 in the Champions League. 

That is a record for any kind of women’s football match, be it at club or international level.
