Charlotte Flair tweeted after winning the SmackDown Women’s Championship from Asuka last night: “This one means a lot. #8. Thank you @WWEAsuka; The most talented woman I’ve ever shared the ring with.”
WWE announced that a seven-plus-hour livestream of the greatest modern-day WrestleMania matches will air on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube starting at noon Eastern time on Friday, March 29. The matches will range from WrestleMania XIX until today.
Vince McMahon sold 3,204,427 shares of WWE stock today, primarily to help fund Alpha Entertainment and the XFL. McMahon still controls the vast majority of voting power in the company. McMahon “has informed the Company that he has no current plan to sell additional shares of the Company’s stock and that he intends to continue in his capacity as the Company’s Chairman and Chief Executive Officer for the foreseeable future.”
