Burglars robbed man of $20K by threatening his grandmother
An elderly woman was held by the neck and dragged by a pair of thieves who robbed her grandson of $20,000 in the Queens home, according to authorities.
The 29-year-old man, who works at a nearby strip club, let a male friend crash on the couch inside his LeFrak City apartment in Corona on the night of June 16, but the pal ditched the apartment at some point overnight — and left the door open on his way out, police sources said.
Around 7 a.m. June 17, the young man was awakened by two burglars who kicked open his bedroom door — while one held the 68-year-old woman by her neck and simulated a gun under his shirt with his other hand, police said.
The second suspect then rummaged through the younger victim’s drawers, where he found an envelope filled with $20,000, cops said.

The pair of thieves then dragged the elderly woman to the front door before freeing her and fleeing, cops said.
Investigators provided photos and a video of the suspects in the hallway of the building. The woman was not seriously injured, and police are working to determine if the victim’s friend was involved in the attack.
