Brock Lesnar Suspended By USADA For One Year

Brock Lesnar Suspended By USADA For One Year Following Failed UFC 200 Doping Case
MMAFighting.com are reporting that Brock Lesnar has been suspended for one year by the USADA, having failed two drug tests in relation to his UFC 200 fight against Mark Hunt in July of last year. Lesnar won’t be eligible to return to the Octagon until July 15 2017, one year after his provisional USADA suspension began.
As has been widely reported, Lesnar tested positive for clomiphere and its metabolite, 4-hydroxyclomiphere, during a drug test which took place on June 28th and another test on July 9th – the night of UFC 200. Due to the nature of the drug that Lesnar tested positive for, one year was the maximum suspension Lesnar was going to receive under the UFC’s anti-doping policy.

As previously noted, Lesnar was also suspended for one year and fined $250,000 by the Nevada Athletic Commission last month. Lesnar’s win over Mark Hunt at UFC 200 has since been overturned, with the bout deemed a draw.
