Brock Lesnar Not Leaving Until After Wrestlemania 34, Matt Hardy

We’ve been hearing more and more rumblings about Brock Lesnar leaving WWE and heading back to UFC with each passing day now. Lesnar already has a big fight with Jon Jones that he could be heading into, but it doesn’t look like that will be happening anytime soon. Dave Meltzer recently reminded everyone over at MMAFighting.com that Lesnar would still have to reenter the USADA testing pool after being suspended from one year of competition last year. The test has been frozen since around February, so he could be eligible to return in January if he rejoins right now. However, even after his suspension is over, it doesn’t seem like he’ll be headed right back to UFC.
Meltzer reported that Brock Lesnar is currently signed to WWE until around the same time as Wrestlemania 34 next year. The company does intend to use Lesnar for the entire length of his current deal, which means that Lesnar is realistically not returning to UFC until next summer. He is all but confirmed to headline next year’s Royal Rumble show, and another one of Meltzer’s sources says “The Beast” will indeed be working next year’s Wrestlemania show. If we take everything into account: the length of his WWE contract, the time he’ll need to serve his suspension, and a few months to begin training, it puts Lesnar’s UFC return date somewhere in June of 2018.
As seen on this past week’s edition of Raw, Matt and Jeff Hardy seemed to have something “awoken” from down inside of themselves. The brothers teased being “woken” in a YouTube video shortly after the ordeal. Matt and Jeff both stated that their feud with The Revival has made them feel “revived” and Matt began to use similar mannerisms that his old “Broken” character would use. Days later, Matt Hardy continues to tease the arrival of this new “woken” gimmick that he and Jeff will be portraying. It seems as though the gimmick is being created by WWE as a way for them to use the “Broken” gimmick without going though any legal issues. Matt is encouraging fans now to “get woke.”
