According to PWInsider.com, former WWE Universal Champion Brock Lesnar is currently backstage at the AT&T Center for tonight’s WWE Hell in a Cell pay-per-view.

At this time no one has been able to confirm whether or not WWE has any creative plans for the “Beast Incarnate” to make an appearance on the show, but it’s potentially worth noting that the company very rarely flies Lesnar in for anything unless he’s been written into the show.

This is a somewhat surprising move, as Lesnar’s final contracted appearance was last month’s WWE SummerSlam pay-per-view, where he dropped the Universal Championship to Roman Reigns. It was widely assumed at the time that with no dates remaining on his contract – at least at the time – that he was either done with the company, or would be at least taking a long period of time off to being preparing for his return to UFC.

PWInsider also noted that not only is Brock backstage, but WWE is apparently making zero effort to hide him, as he has been walking around “in full view of everyone” throughout the night. We’ll keep you updated as more information becomes available.
