Brands Consolidating, "American Gladiators" Tapings, WWE-Regulations

There are those in power within WWE who have recently made another push to consolidate RAW, SmackDown! and ECW back to 1 WWE brand. Vince McMahon still remains confident that all 3 brands can thrive seperately and the Sci-Fi Channel recently renewing ECW’s TV deal reinenforced that opinion.
Hulk Hogan has signed on to host NBC’s upcoming remake of the popular gameshow series American Gladiators. Tapings for the new American Gladiators begin on November 28th in California. The show will debut “mid-season”.
Georgia’s Athletic and Entertainment Commission is pushing state legislators to allow them to regulate World Wrestling Entertainment events. WWE is currently unregulated in the state due to a legal loophole that frees companies with assets exceeding $25 million from regulation. Pro boxing and mixed martial arts are regulated in Georgia.
