Braidwood Woman, 29, Crashed Into Joliet Utility Pole

JOLIET — A 29-year-old woman from Braidwood has received a Joliet police ticket for driving too fast for conditions after crashing her Ford Explorer directly into a telephone pole on Joliet’s Western Avenue, just up the hill from the Cass Street Bridge.

The woman was not involved in a wreck with any other vehicle; rather, she drove directly into the path of the utility pole, damaging it as it nearly fell into the street.
