Sean Tobin returns to the Limerick hurlers for John Kiely’s first outing as the new manager

JOHN KIELY AND his new management team have announced the team that will face Waterford in their opening game of the Co-Op Superstores.ie Munster Senior Hurling League on Sunday.

The side includes three members from the Na Piarsiagh club which captured the 2016 senior All-Ireland hurling club title and will also feature some seasoned players.

Kiely will be looking to the experienced Seamus Hickey, to operate as a leader from centre-back while Sean Tobin is back in the starting line-up, after withdrawing from the panel during the summer due to lack of game time.

Elsewhere, Kerry have named their team to play Tipperary in Round 1 of the Munster Senior Football McGrath Cup on Sunday next in Austin Stack Park.

The team is drawn entirely from the county’s Under 21 panel and will be managed by the Under 21 Manager Jack O’Connor.
