Edwards noted on Twitter that he is okay following the injury and it’s worth noting he did appear at last night’s Impact TV tapings. Edwards did not wrestle, but he did do a run-in during a match but did not get very physical.
Impact Wrestling Reportedly Scrapping Championship
In related news, Dave Meltzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that Impact Wrestling plans to drop the Grand Championship.
During this week’s TV tapings, Matt Sydal won the Grand Title, then gifted it to Josh Mathews, then eventually lost the title to Austin Aries. Aries is currently both the Impact World Champion and Grand Champion, however new Impact creative management feels the company does not need the Grand Title, so it will soon be dropped or possibly unified with the World Title.
