NXT Takeover: New Orleans is tonight running head-to-head with the biggest Ring of Honor show in history, ROH Supercard of Honor XII. We will have live coverage of BOTH shows all throughout the night so make sure to follow along and join the discussion starting at 8:00 and 8:30 PM EST respectively.

– In what may end up turning into a much bigger story down the line, it appears that Alberto el Patron no-showed last night’s IMPACT Wrestling vs. Lucha Underground event in New Orleans, where he was scheduled in the main event. What’s peculiar is that he DID show up to a planned press conference a few hours earlier, promoting the match between himself and Austin Aries at IMPACT Redemption. This is not even close to the first time Alberto has no-showed an event at the last minute. In many ways, given it is WrestleMania weekend, given that a partnership with Lucha Underground needs to go well for them, and given that they’re promoting an upcoming PPV, this was the biggest show the promotion had done in many years. It’ll be interesting how the story progresses and if anything at all is done to Alberto as a consequence.

– It was a wild night at the WWE Hall of Fame as we honored some of the greatest men and women to ever do the dance, including Bill Goldberg, the Dudley Boyz Bubba Ray and D-Dvon, Ivory, Mark Henry, Jeff Jarrett and more. It was a LONG night as usual running 4.5 hours but we got some unforgettable moments. Gems that stood out include Mark Henry’s incredibly genuine and moving induction speech, Double J and Road Dogg singing “Alone With My Baby Tonight”, a reunion of the TLC teams, and Warrior Award winner JJ Robertson having more charisma than 99% of the WWE roster.

– There is a rumor going around that Dave Bautista was supposed to be Ronda Rousey’s partner in a huge match against Triple H and Stephanie at WrestleMania. Fans will remember “The Animal” has said many times that he wants to come back for one more last legitimate run, and that he wants to finish off his career with Triple H on the Grandest Stage of Them All. Apparently the deal fell through because WWE just put Dave on read and completely ignored him after the conversation had already been had, running with Kurt Angle instead.
