According to the WrestleVotes Twitter account, the current plan in WWE is for a “repeat” Superstar to win the 2019 WWE Royal Rumble match.

It’s worth noting that repeat could either mean last year’s winner would win again, meaning Shinsuke Nakamura would once again head to WrestleMania. It could also mean any past Royal Rumble winner could win the match again and earn a title shot at MetLife Stadium.

If WWE considers the Greatest Royal Rumble a Royal Rumble match, then that would qualify Braun Strowman as a repeat winner.

Let’s just say as of now, it’s a repeat winner.
