STEEL CAGE MATCH – DREW MCINTYRE vs DOLPH ZIGGLER

Looks like we’re starting the show with four sides of steel! This friendship turned bitter rivalry is coming to blows inside of a steel cage! First off is the showoff, Dolph Ziggler, who is looking showboaty as usual. Next up is the Scottish Psychopath, and he gets in the ring and the door closes after him. Ziggler right away hits a European Uppercut, and then tries to scale the ring right away, but he’s pulled down and leveled by McIntyre. McIntyre isn’t done and he picks up Ziggler and hits an easy vertical suplex.

Mcintyre begins to taunt Dolph and Dolph tries to fight back, but McIntyre stops him with a chop. Drew continues talk trash, but Ziggler counters and hits a leaping DDT, flooring McIntyre. Dolph begins to hit Ziggler with right hands, but McIntyre hits the Glasgow Kiss OUT OF NOWHERE, knocking out Ziggler.

McIntyre starts to scale the cage himself, but Dolph collects himself and grabs the leg of McIntyre, keeping him in the cage. The two stand at the top rope, throwing hands back and forth, but Ziggler gains the upper hand as he starts to hit the head of McIntyre over and over into the steel. McIntyre counters by kicking the leg of Ziggler, sending Ziggler to rack himself on the top rope. McIntyre looks on, but Ziggler grabs the leg of McIntyre who ends up in the same position as Dolph.

The two get up and Dolph bounces off the ropes. Drew misses a clothesline and Ziggler hits the Fameasser! Ziggler goes for a cover but only gets a two count. Ziggler picks up McIntyre and he bounces McIntyre off the steel cage over and over and then floors McIntyre with a superkick! Ziggler begins to crawl to the door to make his way out and win the match, but McIntyre pulls Ziggler back in. Drew goes to hit another headbutt, but Dolph hits one of his own! Both men are down and going for the door, and Ziggler decides to pull the steel cage door shut, closing it on the head of Drew McIntyre.

McIntyre struggles to get to his feet, but Ziggler hits ANOTHER Fameasser and goes for a cover, but AGAIN gets only a two count. Ziggler begins to climb the steel cage to pick up the victory and he makes it to the top, but McIntyre once again gathers his wits and blocks Ziggler’s escape. Ziggler is caught on the top of the cage, and McIntyre takes the opportunity to deliver a HUGE superplex off the top of the cage!!

McIntyre once again begins to taunt Dolph, and he picks Ziggler up and throws him like a dart into the cage.Drew picks up Dolph and delivers a RELEASE VERTICAL SUPLEX INTO THE CAGE! Wow that was brutal! McIntyre tells Dolph that he refuses that to be it, and tells Dolph to fight! He continues to taunt him as he picks him up, but Dolph FROM OUT OF NOWHERE hits a Zig Zag! He goes for the cover, 1…..2……DREW MCINTYRE KICKS OUT!

Dolph begins to tune up the band to deliver another superkick, but instead, Drew Mcintyre counters with a Claymore kick, brutally flooring Dolph Ziggler. Drew stares on at Dolph, who is broken and beaten. Dolph begins to stir and gets to his knees before a sick Drew Mcintyre hits another Claymore kick on Dolph. Drew goes for the cover and picks up the victory.

Winner via pinfall: Drew McIntyre

After the match, Drew leaves the cage, and Dolph tries to get up but yells at Drew “IS THAT ALL YOU”VE GOT?!” Drew is livid, and he grabs a chair and brings it in the ring. He begins to beat down on Dolph, and then positions Dolph’s head between the cage and the chair. He bounces off the ropes and hits a BRUTAL dropkick on the head of Ziggler.

Drew gets on the mic and he says that Dolph is nothing and doesn’t deserve the scraps that he had been giving him. He says that that chapter is finally closed, and he can focus on what really matters. He says that is the king of the Raw jungle, and it is time to prove that he is the king of the WWE. He is going to win the Royal Rumble match and FINALLY fulfill his destiny and win the Universal Championship. I believe him.
