Attendance at WWE's Big House Shows in Chicago & New York Disappoint

— WWE’s recent house shows in New York at MSG and in Chicago did not do well, attendance wise. The MSG show drew only 11,900 fans – the smallest audience for that venue in a long time. The low attendance happened even after WWE switched to the higher drawing Raw brand and even by adding an NXT match.

— According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the size of the MSG crowd is “going to make a lot of people mad” especially when compared to the upcoming ROH/NJPW show which sold 15,000 seats months in advance of the show and even more impressively, minutes after tickets went on sale. WWE has not sold out MSG in a number of years and it is unclear when they will be back as they did not announce a return date.

— In Chicago, the attendance figure was only 6,000 when a show in that arena under similar conditions would usually draw 10,000+.
