– The “huge surprise” teased by Triple H before the taping was the NXT debut of former TNA star Austin Aries.
WWE announced that Aries’s arrival will air on the March 2 edition of WWE NXT on WWE Network.

– The pre-taping Dark Match featured La Sombra (unmasked) vs. Rich Swann.
