NDSU Opens with #17 Northwestern on Sunday

North Dakota State is scheduled to host No. 17-ranked Northwestern University in a non-conference dual at 12 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 4, in Scheels Center at the Sanford Health Athletic Complex … It is the season opener for both teams … Recent Bison Athletic Hall of Fame inductee Kris Nelson will be recognized at the intermission … NDSU will send 14 wrestlers to compete at the Jimmie Open hosted by the University of Jamestown on Saturday, Nov. 3.

North Dakota State is scheduled to square off against Northern Illinois at 7 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 8, in a non-conference dual … Next, the Bison will host the 48th annual Bison Open on Saturday, Nov. 10, which gets underway at 10 a.m. … The field includes entries from Arizona State, Minnesota and South Dakota State … Both events take place in Scheels Center.

NDSU SAAC Collecting Food, Money
NDSU’s Student-Athlete Advisory Council will be accepting non-perishable food items and monetary donations this Saturday for the Summit League Food Fight, an annual competition among league schools. All donations benefit the Fargo-Moorhead Emergency Food Pantry. Last year, NDSU collected nearly 7,000 pounds of food. Donations will be accepted in the football tailgating lots and throughout the following week in the main lobby at NDSU volleyball Nov. 4, wrestling Nov. 4 and Nov. 8, and women’s basketball Nov. 6 and 9. Fans unable to attend these events may donate funds online to @NDSU-SAAC using the Venmo mobile app.
