-EVOLVE announced EVOLVE 92 and EVOLVE 93 will be held on Sept. 22 in Livonia, Mich. and Sept. 23 in Chicago, Ill. The big announcement is that Davey Richards will be making his return to EVOLVE and will wrestle on both shows.
The talent announced so far includes: EVOLVE Champion Zack Sabre Jr., WWN Champion Matt Riddle, EVOLVE Tag Team Champions Anthony Henry & James Drake, Catch Point (Tracy Williams & Chris Dickinson & Jaka w/ Stokely Hathaway), Keith Lee, Ethan Page, ACH, Fred Yehi, Darby Allin, and Austin Theory (w/Priscilla Kelly).
-There was a note in the WWN Alerts that their offices are closed until the end of the month to give everyone a vacation. Any merchandise orders placed on WWN’s website will be filled at the end of the month.
-FloSlam has posted EVOLVE 45 for free until Aug. 20. You can watch this event, which features DGUSA & EVOLVE World Champion Drew Galloway defending against Timothy Thatcher. The show has been released for free for a short period of time to commemorate Thatcher’s departure from EVOLVE. Thatcher is moving to Germany to work for WXW through the end of 2017.

-In the latest WWN Alerts, EVOLVE booker Gabe Sapolsky addressed Triple H’s comments about Sapolsky on the NXT conference call this past week. Triple H said he enjoys having Sapolsky visit from time to time at NXT, “I like Gabe,” said Triple H. “I like what he does. I think he’s a smart guy that helps to get talent going in their careers and is a great place for them to work and he’s cultivating talent. When I have an opportunity for him to be around us, and learn from us, and I can bring him in, see how his mind works, and think, it’s good for everybody…If I feel like someone is a talent who can add to our product, add to enjoyment for fans and can help, yeah I want to work with that person, and I want to help them be able to do the same.”
Sapolsky responded in the WWN Alerts with an assurance that he’s not looking for an NXT position. “I need to thank Triple H for those humbling and nice words,” said Sapolsky. It has been an invaluable learning experience being at NXT. I am all about talent development. My favorite part of this job is seeing talent learn, improve, grow and then realize their dreams. The lessons I have learned from Triple H, William Regal and everyone at NXT has made me better at my job. Everyone is incredible there. There is no talk of a writer’s job at NXT. I am not there for a tryout as has been rumored. I’m there because we all want to have the best tools and ideas possible to lead pro wrestling into the future. NXT is an opportunity for me to improve my skills, and then spread that knowledge to everyone in WWN, whether it is directly to our locker room, to those who participate in the Seminar/Tryout or anyone who joins our office staff with the New Promoter Initiative.
Radican’s Analysis: Sapolsky is telling the truth when he says he’s not looking for a permanent job at NXT. He is paid per appearance when he visits the performance center and attends NXT and PPV tapings. The Progress Wrestling owners are also brought in as consults as well, which PWTorch REPORTED earlier this week.
There is some speculation from PWTorch sources that Sapolsky and The Progress Wrestling owners are being groomed for something bigger down the line, but nothing has been confirmed in that regard as of yet.
