According to E!, the Camping star filed to have a retired judge oversee the case — moving the case from the court system to a private judge ensures a faster turnaround. The judge in question will preside until March 1, at the latest, and will be released early if the divorce is finalized before then. So … looks like Ben and Jen will be free agents by 2019.

Coinciding with this news, Affleck, who recently completed a 40-day stay in rehab for alcohol addiction, opened up about his recovery on Instagram. “Battling any addiction is a lifelong and difficult struggle,” he wrote, “Because of that, one is never really in or out of treatment. It is a full-time commitment. I am fighting for myself and my family.”
