Long-Time Westfield Senior Couple Could Face Eviction, In Need Of Help

WESTFIELD, NJ — A long-time Westfield senior couple with disabilities needs help to help pay their rent and avoid eviction, said Councilman David Kiefer.

Kiefer organized a GoFundMe website page to help collect funds for the Ward 4 couple.

The couple, who would like to stay anonymous, is going through a difficult time and needs help to make their rent over the next couple of months until they can get additional permanent assistance in the form of SNAP, etc.

“He is a recurrent and recent cancer survivor and his physically disabled spouse is in her mid-70s, for whom he is a full-time caregiver. Without immediate financial assistance, they face eviction from their tenancy of 38 years,” said Kiefer.

Kiefer is asking the community to help their neighbor in their time of need.
