Taylor Swift will lead Amazon Prime Day’s all-female concert
Taylor Swift has been tapped to headline the upcoming Amazon Prime Day Concert.
The pop powerhouse of current “Calm Down” controversy will lead an all-female lineup featuring fellow top 40 songstresses Dua Lipa, SZA and Becky G. Emmy-winning actress Jane Lynch (“Glee”) will host.
The concert will stream live starting at 9 p.m. July 10 EST — and is available exclusively for Prime members (and those who start a 30-day free trial).
“We can’t wait to celebrate Prime Day with an extraordinary night of unforgettable performances, for members around the globe,” said Steve Boom, VP of Amazon Music, in a statement.
“Prime Day brings members the best of both entertainment and shopping,” Boom added. “To celebrate, we’ve curated a lineup across multiple genres with performances from artists our customers love. We’re looking forward to celebrating Prime Day with this can’t-miss, one-of-a-kind event.”
The corporate behemoth’s Black Friday in July event will reportedly be its biggest yet, offering Amazon Prime subscribers more than a million deals and spanning 48 hours, so online shoppers will have an extra 12 hours to make purchases compared to last year’s event, which also kicked off in mid-July.
