The rich kid-rapper son of two Upper East Side residents who pleaded guilty in the college admission scandal spent more than a week jailed at Rikers Island because his angry dad refused to bail him out, the jailbird told The Post.

Malcolm Abbott —who was photographed puffing a blunt as he defended his parents a few months ago — was reported to cops by his beverage scion father, Gregory Abbott, after he allegedly bit him and whacked him with a ruler at their home on Fifth Avenue, Malcolm said.

After the attack three weeks ago, his dad was so furious, he let him rot behind bars for eight days — until a pal finally paid his $1,500 bail, he said, adding that his peeved mom, Marcia Abbott, refused to talk to him after the fight.

“At the end of the day, they got me famous, so I am really not mad at them,” the 22-year-old wannabe hip hop star said — explaining their criminal case drew attention to his tunes.

But Malcolm, who goes by the rap name Billa,  said his stint in the slammer was so not-chill, it inspired him to make “socially conscious music” about incarceration.

“Rikers is the pinnacle of injustice,” he said, adding other inmates had it rougher. “[But] the guards were nice to me since I’m a white person.”

He said he fears for his mommy and daddy — who now face more than a year behind bars for paying $125,000 to boost their daughter’s college entrance test scores.

“I am worried a little about it,” he said. “They have the strength.”

The parents, Gregory Abbott and his wife, Marcia,  were accused of paying admitted mastermind William “Rick” Singer $125,000 to boost their daughter’s ACT and SAT scores. Singer paid off a crooked test proctor to correct wrong answers on the girl’s exams, and she ultimately received a perfect 800 on the SAT math exam and 710 on the literature test. On the ACT, she received  35 out of 36, according to court filings.

The nationwide scandal also ensnared “Desperate Housewives” star Felicity Huffman, who has pleaded guilty, and “Full House” actress Lori Loughlin and her husband designer Mossimo Giannulli, who are headed to trial.

Malcolm allegedly pushed, kicked, bit and hit his dad with a ruler during the assault on May 18, police sources said at the time.

During his arrest, a team of cops cuffed him at an upstate recording studio, roughed him up and mocked his music, including a  recent album dubbed “Cheese and Crackers,” Malcolm said.

“They used excessive force,” he said. “They were quoting my rap lyrics too…they were like ‘good cracker.’”

A video of part of the arrest, however, shows cops walking with him across a grassy yard in Rockland County with no apparent conflict.

Malcolm, who denies that he beat his dad, will now be required to take anger management classes.

He declined to say why he and his father,  who founded the food and drink distribution company International Dispensing Corp.,  were arguing. He also refused to discuss details of his criminal case.

But, ultimately, there was an upside to his stay at Rikers.

“The chicken is edible,” he said. “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”

Malcolm is due back in court on June 25.
