CEO buys over-the-top Hamptons manse for around $35M \u2014 more than half off
Real estate hotshot Ivan Kaufman, CEO and president of Arbor Realty Trust, is in contract to buy Three Ponds Farm in Bridgehampton for around $35 million — more than half off of its $75 million asking price from 2003. (It most recently asked $49 million.)
The 58.6-acre estate comes with its own 18-hole private golf course designed by noted golf course architect Rees Jones.
The property, which can be subdivided, includes a 25,000-square-foot main house overlooking Long Pond with a pool, a pool pavilion and a grass tennis court.
There are Edmund Hollander-designed gardens featuring a walkway lined by 60 solid concrete columns and wisteria-laced pergolas.
The main house, designed by Allan Greenberg, comes with eight bedrooms, 10 full bathrooms and 3½ baths.
There’s a caretaker’s cottage also designed by Greenberg with a wraparound porch and a bluestone patio with garden views.
Inside, the living room features built-in bookcases and a country kitchen.
The listing broker was Bespoke Real Estate’s Zachary Vichinsky.
